Description
Sextant with a dark metal frame and worn brass graduated arc. Rectangular mirror at one corner of the frame. Next to the mirror on one arm are four multicolored, round glass filters in square frames that pivot out. Then there is a rectangular mirror and glass panel in an upright metal frame. Then there are three round glass filters in round frames. These should pivot out, but are stuck in place. On the opposite arm is a round opening for attaching a telescope lens. The index arm pivots from the mirror vertex. It has a small lens over it and a rectangular gap for reading the arc. The graduated arc has numerical markings which are largely worn away. There is a wooden handle on the underside of the sextant. "4661" etched at one end of the graduated arc.
